Most people, in their lifetime, only sell or buy a property two or three times, usually some years apart. It was with some trepidation that we entered in to the agreement with Berkeley Shaw for them to market our mother's house in Crosby after she sadly passed away in June 2023. We explored the available options and chose Berkeley Shaw following a number of interviews with different estate agents. We made a great choice - William Goulden, in hindsight, had a thankless task in attempting to value the property and manage our expectations. He came up with a fair valuation and the fact that we achieved a final selling price which was somewhere short of his valuation, and our expectations, was more to do with the property's need of modernisation, decoration and a new roof than Will's valuation. During the whole 18 months that it took us to finally sell the property we were kept well informed, initially by Will Goulden, and then by the excellent staff at Berkeley Shaw. Frequent telephone conservations and email exchanges with Jess, Laura, Emma, Kerstie, Jackie and Jackson were always handled professionally and in a timely fashion.
